Portland area readers, please tune in to KPTV Fox 12 throughout the day on Thursday, May 21, 2015 for the first annual Stand with our Vets Telethon! All of the money raised goes to support Veterans and their families through the military lines and services offered by Lines for Life. There will be a special thirty minutes, from 6:30 to 7:00 pm Thursday evening, to spotlight the phone lines.
The information below is specific to the help Lines for Life provides for Veterans:
- Military Helpline: 888-HLP-4-VET (888-457-4838). The Military Helpline serves members of the military, Veterans and their families anonymously 24-hours a day with a team of Veterans and trained volunteer crisis workers. Secure online chat is also available at: MilitaryHelpline.org
Cascadia Disability Law proudly will be answering the telethon phone lines, as several staff members have volunteered to spend part of their day taking calls and donations for this worthy cause. If you are unable to tune in on television, feel free to make an online donation at the following link: click here to donate. We look forward to a great event and hope it will be a great success for the many Veterans and Service Members who need this service.
Here’s your chance to support our Veterans and their families by helping fund the Lines for Life Military lines that provide around-the-clock crisis intervention and prevention, support and referrals for Service Members, Veterans and their families.
